The army said that its planes bombed a car in southern Lebanon on Saturday morning "in which a number of terrorists were traveling who fired missiles at Israel."
The Israeli army added: “The terrorists were working within the Imam Hussein Division, which is affiliated with Iran and works for Hezbollah.”
Sky News Arabia sources confirmed earlier on Saturday that 3 Hezbollah members were killed in an Israeli bombing that targeted their car on the Naqoura Road in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah mourned 3 members killed on Saturday morning, as a result of the Israeli strike.
The Israeli army also announced the bombing of “Hezbollah infrastructure in the Labouneh area in southern Lebanon,” and “two Hezbollah military compounds in the Blida area during Friday night.”
Since the day following the unprecedented attack launched by Hamas on Israel on October 7, the Lebanese border has witnessed an escalation between Hezbollah and Israel.
Hezbollah announces the targeting of Israeli sites, spy devices, and military gatherings in support of Gaza and “in support of its resistance.”
The Israeli army responds with air and artillery bombardment, which it says targets the party's "infrastructure" and the movements of fighters near the border, and from time to time it targets cars often carried by Hezbollah members, including leaders.
The escalation over the course of about 5 months prompted tens of thousands of residents on both sides of the border to evacuate their homes.
The exchange of attacks resulted in the deaths of at least 296 people in Lebanon, including 207 Hezbollah fighters and 46 civilians, according to a tally compiled by Agence France-Presse.
In Israel, the army counted the deaths of 10 soldiers and 6 civilians.
