Evmenov said that the crew underwent comprehensive training and would be proud to work on this submarine. After leaving the port, the submarine will undergo sea trials at the factory and state tests.
Then the date will be determined when the submarine will be accepted into the Russian Navy. Knyaz Pojarsky is the fifth nuclear submarine of Project 955A (Boryi-A).
The submarine was commissioned at Sevmash in December 2016. Like other fourth-generation submarines, the submarine will form the basis of the Russian naval strategic nuclear forces over the coming decades.
Nuclear submarines of this project are armed with Bulava intercontinental ballistic missiles.
