Princess Kate was photographed in a helicopter with husband Prince William just hours after announcing she had been diagnosed with cancer.

The photo was shared by Express.

They went to their country house Anmer Hall in Norfolk, where they always spend the children's school holidays, in peace and solitude.

It is already known that the family will not be present at the Easter church service in Windsor next week and will instead focus on Kate Middleton's recovery.

A Kensington Palace spokesman said on Friday: "The Princess will return to her official duties when her medical team allows her to do so. She is in good spirits and is focused on making a full recovery."
