For the last month, gasoline has risen in price by 3 cents per liter (1.14 percent) with a tendency for the price to stagnate. This is shown by data on the Fuelo platform. If on January 10, 2024, A95 gasoline was sold for BGN 2.63 per liter, today its average retail price is BGN 2.66 per liter.
Diesel for the month has risen in price by 6 cents per liter (2.21 percent), also with a tendency of price stagnation, according to the specialized platform. On February 10, a liter of this type of fuel was traded for BGN 2.71, and now the price is on average BGN 2.77 per liter.
For the considered one-month period, the price of propane-butane remained at the same levels - 1.27 per liter.
During this period, there was an increase in price of only one penny on 3 days of the month, but after that its price returned to the same levels.
Over the last month, methane has become cheaper by 14 cents per kilogram or minus 6.03 percent.
The trend is also downwards.
On February 10, methane at gas stations in the country cost BGN 2.32 per kilogram, and now it is sold for an average of BGN 2.18 per kilogram.
Asked for a comment by BTA, the chairman of the Bulgarian Oil and Gas Association (BPGA), Svetoslav Benchev, assumed that
prices will remain around these values until the Easter holidays, although, according to him, it is difficult to make predictions
.
He pointed out that the prices of crude oil and finished product exchanges fluctuate more or less at a reasonable interval.
In general, the profit or loss is minimal, said Benchev.
When asked if there has been a change in fuel prices since March 1, given the final cancellation of the derogation (note the import of Russian oil) of "Lukoil Neftohim Burgas", the chairman of BPGA replied that this had no impact.

. This price increase that you mentioned happened even before March 1," Benchev said.
According to him, whether fuel prices at gas stations will rise depends on the market.
"If nothing happens and there is no price increase, I don't see why there should be a price increase for the Easter holidays," added the chairman of the Bulgarian Oil and Gas Association.
According to him, everything depends on consumption and the price of crude oil.
A BTA reference on the Fuelo website shows that at Lukoil gas stations, A95H gasoline today is cheaper by 1 cent - to BGN 2.64 per liter.
The data in the specialized platform from the last 2 weeks show that on March 1, gasoline cost BGN 2.63 per liter.
For other types of fuel, there are also no significant changes in prices at Lukoil gas stations."
The average oil price of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) rose slightly to $83.08 per barrel on Friday, the oil cartel said on its website today. On Thursday, one barrel was selling for $82.71.
At the same time, oil prices extended their losses from last week in Asian trade today on sluggish demand from China, although ongoing geopolitical risks around the Middle East and Russia limited the decline, reports CBS.
Brent, Europe's benchmark, fell 48 cents, or 0.6 percent, to $81.60 a barrel.
U.S. light crude was down 50 cents, or 0.6 percent, at $77.51 a barrel.
