Wall Street's main indexes opened lower today as investors awaited Nvidia's results, which could provide a clearer direction for technology stocks, Reuters reported.

The Dow Jones industrial average lost 80.14 points, or 0.21 percent, to 38,483.66.

Stock trading in Tokyo and New York ended in the red

The broader Standard & Poor's 500 fell 12.48 points, or 0.25 percent, to 4,963.03.

The high-tech Nasdaq lost 98.66 points or 0.63 percent to 15,532.12 points, BTA notes.
